Our Cause

The NCVF was established by a group of "children of veteran's," all having family in previous conflicts. The Founder and Co-Founder are both current veterans serving as Military Police Officers is the US Army Reserve both of whom have been deployed as reservists multiple times.  The Founder Sgt. Jeffrey J. DePalma has spent over 3 years on active duty during his so far 6 years in the reserves.  Co-Founder SSG Abraham Erhart has spent over 4 years on active duty and seen his share of Iraq. 

Also, high quality Pre-K for these children nets a high return on investment in the children and in the community.  Pre-Kindergarten is the first step in improving education at all levels.The strong skills these children will learn in a high-quality Pre-K facility will give them a strong foundation in handling social and emotional skills needed to respond well to deployment separation.    Our programs currently include: 

“Operation Buddy”  is a one on one mentorship program focusing on early childhood education in a high quality setting. -       

"We will provide financial assistance to National Guard and Reserve Families to enroll their children in a high quality Pre-Kindergarten education system.-        

  “Active Fund” is a fund National Guard and Reserve families can pull from to keep their children enrolled in extra-curricular activities from athletics to Science Fair school activities etc. -         

 “Operation New School”  is a fund in which we will fund the building of high quality pre-schools within a given distance near a military installations for Military Children.-        

  “Helping Hands“  is a fund to give National Guard and Reserve Families with disadvantaged children financial assistance to create a better way of life for  the child.-        

  ""Endurance Fund"- will help in building awareness for an active and healthy lifestyle in children ages 6-17.   

The reality is that military children are in almost every community in America, and  no matter where they live, they need and deserve access to high-quality education. There are long term economic consequences for failing to prepare all children for school and we as an organization are dedicated to helping millions of children attain a better life.  It starts right here.
